On Nov 19th of 2007 Leonard Novy outlined and published the projected downward path of the bear market that has now unfolded. That path not only included the important price points that would be touched many months into the future, but the time at which those price points would most likely be reached. All of the price objectives were met including the recent Nov 21, 2008 technical bottom that is currently being tested. If you are a follower of his work, then you already know that projecting classical predictive paths is the norm, rather than the exception. Yet as a teacher, and a creator, Leonard has managed to stay under the radar of the commercial mainstream. His student roster is almost entirely referral only, coming from traders who have experienced his work, telling other traders who haven’t, and it has kept him very busy. He is a wise, experienced player in what he likes to call the “trading game-board”. His creations, “Novy Principles of Market Flow”, the “Gates of Confirmation”, the “Hybrid Charts” for day traders, and other key theories, is a culmination of the last 40 years of price and timing technologies. He has blended “price and time”, into a unique treatise on momentum. His work and his style of teaching has attracted hedgers, floor traders, market makers, fund managers, partners of Wall Street firms, brokers, CEOs, entrepreneurs, and professionals in many walks of life, wanting to test their skills as traders. His teaching is performance based rather than just informational. What is particularly remarkable about his work, is that it reveals how every move and turn in the market, has a functional purpose. It is this understanding of how markets function, that facilitates and affects the psychology of the trader. Traders are continually adjusting to new conditions, and volatilities, and in day trading, sometimes from moment to moment. The market is a moving target, and while conditions and volatility may change, functionality never does. Understanding the function of market movement is key to gaining confidence with regard to entries and exits. Leonard’s Lesson Modules are clearly understandable, ever enlightening, and a constant source of reference. See why professional traders refer other traders to Leonard and his teachings. Every student is an individual each with different needs. Confidence in trading comes from knowing yourself and trusting your work. Leonard Novy |
